Overview

A high-performance, full-stack service management application built with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and MongoDB. Designed for local service providers, the app allows users to browse specialized plumbing services, view transparent pricing, and book appointments through a streamlined digital interface.

The challenge

The primary goal was to bridge the gap between traditional manual scheduling and modern web convenience. The app integrates Cloudinary for high-resolution service imagery and Nodemailer for instant booking confirmations. A robust JWT-based authentication system ensures secure user profiles, while a dedicated Admin Dashboard provides the business owner with real-time control over service listings, appointment tracking, and customer inquiries.

Approach & outcome

End Customers (B2C): Users experience a frictionless journey from landing to booking. They can filter services by category (emergency, residential, commercial), read service descriptions, and submit booking requests. The integration of a responsive UI ensures that customers in emergency situations can easily navigate the site and contact a plumber via mobile.

Business Operations: The merchant team (or solo operator) utilizes the administrative suite to manage the service catalog. They can update availability, toggle "Emergency Service" badges, and monitor a centralized feed of incoming leads. This mimics the operational flow of a modern home-services franchise, reducing administrative overhead through automated data handling.

Trust & Reliability: By utilizing automated email flows for booking receipts and professional PDF service summaries, the platform builds customer trust—essential for service-based industries where reliability is the primary selling point.

Combined Summary (For Portfolio/Single Block) A full-stack Next.js and MongoDB service platform tailored for the plumbing industry. Features include a dynamic service catalog, secure JWT authentication, and a comprehensive Admin Dashboard for lead and content management. Real-world application: customers can discover, filter, and book plumbing services seamlessly on any device, while business owners manage the entire pipeline—from service updates to customer messages—within a single, custom-built ecosystem. This replaces manual scheduling with a scalable, automated solution that mirrors the professional standards of top-tier service brands.
