Overview

Salon Dress is a creative web application designed as an interactive beauty and fashion simulator. It allows users to experiment with hairstyling, makeup, and fashion coordination in a digital salon environment.

The challenge

1. Key Features

Virtual Hair Studio: Tools for cutting, curling, straightening, and coloring hair with a variety of shades and styles.

Approach & outcome

Makeup Artistry: A full suite of cosmetic options, including eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush to complete the look.

Fashion Wardrobe: A curated selection of outfits ranging from casual wear to elegant dresses, allowing for full-body makeovers.

Accessory Matching: Options to add headbands, clips, jewelry, and bags to personalize the style.

Creative Photo Mode: Users can select different backgrounds for their finished models and save or share the creations.

2. Technical Specifications Frontend Framework: Built with React (standard for Vercel deployments) to ensure a smooth, single-page application (SPA) experience.

Deployment: Hosted on Vercel (salon-dress.vercel.app), providing high performance and fast loading times.

Interactivity: Utilizes state management to handle real-time visual changes (hair color swaps, outfit changes) without page reloads.

Responsive Design: Optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers, ensuring accessibility for younger users on tablets.

3. Target Audience Primary: Children and teenagers interested in fashion, design, and role-playing games.

Secondary: Aspiring stylists looking for a casual, creative outlet to test visual combinations.

4. Project Goal The project serves as a "creative sandbox," focusing on user engagement through visual customization and intuitive UI/UX. It demonstrates the ability to manage complex asset libraries (clothes, hair types, colors) within a web interface.
